Live Roulette Mobile Casino Games

Roulette is one of the most popular table games at any land based or online casino. The design of the game lends itself to high energy and big wins and it has retained its air of sophistication through the ages too.

While the online version of the game certainly has its place, most players are looking for a more realistic experience. For Canadian mobile casino enthusiasts, the answer is live roulette. Live dealer roulette offers players a realistic casino experience from their smartphone or tablet and closes the gap between playing in a  brick and mortar casino and on the go!

How Live Roulette Works

Live dealer games use state of the art technology to stream the data directly to your smartphone or tablet. As opposed to random number generator games, live roulette uses a real roulette table which is operated by a real croupier.

Players can watch in real time as the dealer places the bets and spins the roulette wheel. This means that the gaming results are 100 per cent accurate and real. Video footage of the roulette wheel and the betting table is streamed live your device at all times.

The Game Setup

Mobile live roulette is enjoyed in exactly the same way as you would play it in a real casino. When you log into the game, you will be assigned a seat at one of the roulette tables. The game software will display the dealer, the roulette table and various electronic betting options one small screens within the game. Players can interact with the dealer by typing messages into the chat window.

The dealer can talk directly into the camera and respond to messages in real time. Bets are placed by tapping on the betting screen. The dealer will then place the bets on the table for all players to see.

Starting the Game

A game of live roulette begins with the player placing their bet. Roulette consists of a large betting table with a roulette wheel. The wheel is divided into 36 pockets. These pockets are numbered from 1 to 36 with a space reserved for the 0 which is coloured in green. In American roulette there’s an extra numbered 00 pocket, and this increases the house edge dramatically.

In roulette, many different betting options are possible. For beginners it is probably best to place a simple bet such as red/black or odds/evens.

Placing your Bet

The odds/evens bet is where a player must correctly guess if the ball will drop into an odd number or an even number. The payouts for odds/evens or red/black bets are 1:1. In live roulette it is also possible to place bets with higher odds. The thirds bet is where the 36 numbers are divided into three set of 12. Players can then place a bet on which set of 12 they think the ball will drop into. For more betting options, players can place bets on exact numbers from 1-36 as well as bets on the 0 or a combination of all the bets together.

Once a player has placed their bets on the electronic board within the software, the dealer will then physically place the bets on the live roulette table on screen. The dealer will then call no more bets and spin the roulette wheel. When the wheel comes to a stop, the ball will drop into one of the 37 numbered pockets if you are playing French or European Roulette, or 38 if enjoying the American version. Players will then be paid out for all correct bets and can choose to play again if desired!
