Live Blackjack On Your Mobile
When it comes to casino games, blackjack is certainly one of the most online. As opposed to slots and many other casino games, blackjack requires a bit of skill and strategy in order to beat the dealer and come out ahead.
While the online version of the game appeals many people, there is nothing that beats the feeling of playing at a live table in a real casino. The good news is that mobile live blackjack offers players a truly authentic casino experience from smartphone or tablet.
How Does Live Dealer Blackjack Compare to Offline Play?
In all of the important ways, playing Live Dealer Blackjack is exactly the same as sitting down at your local casino to play a few hands. You don’t have to leave your house though, and can even play it when you are on the move, by means of your mobile device.
The Benefit of Playing Live Dealer Casino Games
Live dealer casino games use video streaming technology to deliver a live video feed of the game in progress. Players will be able to watch in real time as the cards are dealt and the game unfolds. The benefit of playing live blackjack is plain to see. Because the game uses real cards and real dealers, the gaming results are 100 per cent accurate. It is like being in a real casino and sitting down at a real blackjack table. The only difference is that you can log in from any smartphone or tablet anywhere in Canada!
The Game Setup
When players log into the game, they will have a full view of the blackjack table as well as the dealer. The game software will display virtual chips at the bottom of the screen. Players can interact with the dealer by typing into the chat window which will come up on a small screen in front of the dealer.
The game begins with each player placing their bet. This can be done by tapping on the chips at the bottom of the screen and then placing them on the betting section on the table.
Placing Bets Calculating Points
Once the players have placed their bet, the dealer will then deal each player 2 cards and himself/herself 2 cards with one card facing upwards. The aim of live blackjack is to beat the dealer by getting as close to 21 points as possible without going over 21. In blackjack, each card is worth a certain number of points.
Cards 2 through to 10 are worth their face value. The jack, queen and king are worth 10 points and the ace is worth 1 point or 11 points depending on what is needed in the hand.
Once the first set of cards have been dealt, players can choose to hit or to stick. If a player has a high scoring hand such as 19 or 20, they can choose to stand and see if the dealer can beat their score. If a player has a low scoring hand such as 7 or 8, they can tap on the hit button to receive an additional card. If a player was dealt two of the same cards, they can split their hand into two separate blackjack hands. In live blackjack players can also choose to double down, which means taking one extra card and doubling the bet.
Winning a Hand
Once you’ve played your hand the dealer will flip their down facing card and attempt to beat the your hand. If the dealer cannot beat the players score, the player will win the bet. If either the player or the dealer has blackjack (an ace and a face card) this hand will win the bet.
If the player and the dealer both have the same score, the hand is a push and the bet is doubled for the next round. If either the player or the dealer accepts a card and goes over 21 points, this is called going bust and the bet is lost.
Live Dealer Blackjack Game Variations
One of the many benefits of playing Live Dealer Blackjack games online is that you will be able to find a far greater amount of variations that provide you with different rules and options for play than you do in the real world. This is the same as it would be were you able to easily access a host of land-based casinos – there are simply more places to play when it comes to Live Dealer Blackjack games online.
Some of the most popular variations include:
1. The number of decks
Most Live Dealer Blackjack games make use of either six decks or eight, but you should also be able to find those which offer seven.
2. One-to-many or one-to-one
Most Live Dealer Blackjack tables are set up with a range of seats, exactly the way the table would be in a land-based casino. Some software providers do offer one-to-one games though, where it will be just you and the Dealer. At one-to-many tables, the Dealer will take Bets from as many players who wish to join the round, and then deal the one hand that every player will use.
3. Stand or Hit a Soft 17
Just like at your local land-based casino, the Dealers will either Stand or Hit on a Soft 17 based on the particular house’s rules.
4. Other rules
Other rules can offer you the chance to Double Down on any two cards, or just on certain totals; they can dictate how many times you are allowed to Split, and whether or not you can Split Aces; and also whether or not a Surrender option will be provided.
