Sportsbetting in the Garden State Goes MobileThe recent changes in US gambling laws have seen the online sports betting industry in New Jersey take off, with over $16 million in revenue recorded in the first few weeks. This figure is set to grow even more as companies are investing in new ways for New Jersey punters to access and place their bets online.

Resort Casino Hotel has diversified their current agreement with The Stars Group to offer online and mobile sports betting through the groups BetStars brand. Resort are already working with the PokerStarsNJ brand to bring its player's online poker and other games as regulated by the State.

This announcement was made only one day after Resort launched the Garden State’s first approved online app.

The Stars Group Takes Charge

The Stars Group is one of the largest in the industry, with millions of customers around the world. They hold nineteen international approvals to operate, which makes them a uniquely qualified partner as New Jersey casinos take their firsts steps into the sportsbook sector.

The BetStars brand has, until now, been the European-only sports brand within the group. By amending their agreement to include BetStars, Resort Casino can access the existing infrastructure and systems, as well as draw fro the brand’s invaluable experience in the sector. The group can offer their services in 17 languages and have bespoke betting options across a range of sports. The back-end systems are already set up for single user accounts across all platforms, and integration will be smooth and simple. The group plan to expand their current portfolio as regulations are updated.

According to Matt Primeaux, SVP of The Stars Group Strategy and Operations this will be the inaugural launch of BetStars in the United States. The brand has successfully debuted in many of the EU regulated markets, and the company looks forward to a renewed global presence which introduces consumers to a new experience, bringing them closer to the sports that they love than ever before.

Resort Breaks New Ground

Resorts Casino was Atlantic City’s first casino hotel, and the first to legally operate outside of Nevada. As a New Jersey gambling pioneer, it makes sense that they would lead the way in online and mobile sports betting.

The Hotel CEO Mark Giannantonio has said how excited they are to be extending their agreement with the Stars Group. They look forward to the excellent customer service, state of the art security and advanced technology brand is renowned for.

Resorts Casino and BetStars are ensuring that even if they did not win the race to launch the first app, they will be introducing New Jersey punters to a five-star mobile and online sports betting experience.
