Playtech Develops iOS Native Product Line

Playtech, one of the world’s largest and most influential gambling technology companies has announced a brand new native-first product line for iOS. The product line was specifically designed to support casino operators as they prepare for the changes Apple has instituted to their App Store guidelines, which will come into effect on September 3^rd.

Apple recently made the decision to update their clause 4.7 in their App Store guidelines. This specifically pertains to real money gambling apps, digital commerce, lottery and charitable donation apps. The new clause will force a large number of operators to update their casino content to be iOS native, or face removal from the App Store.

While Playtech has been offering a native iOS casino app for more than 3 years now, the demand for native products has spiked since Apple’s new guidelines were announced in June this year. According to a press release, Playtech’s new native-first product line will include a section of fully native games and gambling content. The content will allow operators to quickly and easily build native iOS apps using a Software Development Kit (SDK). This will dramatically reduce the cost of development and negate he need for investment in additional application software.

Playtech’s current iOS casino app includes a huge list of top slots and casino games as well as back-end functionality for operators. The main features for operators include the BetBuddy Responsible Gambling platform, 360 Platform engagement and third-party gamification tools.
